Medicine


Gain a comprehensive understanding of the practice of medicine. Deakin's medicine program has an emphasis on the early development of clinical, communication and procedural skills, diagnosis and management of chronic diseases, and multidisciplinary teamwork, as well as an emphasis on rural and regional medicine. We also offer the brand new Bachelor of Medical Imaging, which enables graduates to practise as registered diagnostic radiographers (subject to accreditation by AHPRA).

 

Please note the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) is a graduate-entry course. Graduate-entry is through the Graduate Entry Medical School Admissions System (GEMSAS), not VTAC.

HOW TO APPLY

 

Once you’ve chosen a course, and ensured you have met any necessary extra requirements, applying to study at Deakin is easy. 

 

Most undergraduate applications for study commencing in Trimester 1 are submitted online through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) (unless stated otherwise in the admission guidelines), however direct applications can also be received for study commencing in Trimester 2 and 3.
